Gerald “Jerry” Miller
September 10, 1947 – February 3, 2026
Gerald “Jerry” Miller passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 78 surrounded by family. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and a life remembered through the many generations he helped shape.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Constance “Nel” Miller; his parents, William Miller and Beverly “Jean” Miller; his brothers, Gordon Miller and Brad Miller; and his sister, Marsha Bonomo.
He is survived by his brother, Doug Miller, and his daughters, Sherry Reed, Tina Drewry (Ray Drewry), and Jennifer Brown (Lee Brown). Jerry was a proud and devoted grandfather to Christopher Raspe, Amanda Reed, Rebekah Loya, Braxton Drewry, Zackery Reed, Camden Drewry, Garrett Brown, and Gavin Brown as well as many extended family members.
His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Leo, Evian, John, Amelia, Emerson, Isaac, Sylas and Autumn who brought him great joy and whose lives carry forward his memory.
Jerry will be remembered as a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him — a man whose impact was felt most through family, shared moments, and the many ways he showed he cared. Jerry was a US Airforce Veteran, he retired from BGE in 2007 after 39 ½ years and was an avid golfer. He loved listening to music, drinking beer and having a cigar. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in stories told, traditions kept, and the love that remains.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Abingdon Fire Hall. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Jerry’s life in the spirit of connection and remembrance that meant so much to him.
Jerry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
